Using the Total Internet Toolbar

All of the features you need to access the Internet can be found in the Total Internet Toolbar. For information on the use of a specific button, simply click on the button in the image above or scroll down the page.

Connect

The Connect button will open the Connection Manager window. This window is used to connect/disconnect to the Internet. You may also use the Options button to change settings for your connection. A timer at the bottom of the window displays how long you have been connected to the Internet.
Clicking the Options button will open the Advanced Options window, allowing you to fine tune your settings. To change the area code that your modem dials, click on the Telephone Number tab and then click on the Properties button.
The Properties button will open the Dialing Properties window. Make sure that the area code is entered correctly in the area code box as shown in the picture. You may also use this window to set other various options that you may need to connect depending on how your phone system is set up. Once you have made all necessary changes, click the Apply button at the bottom and then click OK.

E-mail

The E-mail button will open your default mail client (Outlook Express). This program is used for sending/receiving e-mail and must be configured independently of the Total Internet Toolbar. If you need help setting up your e-mail, visit our help page on Outlook Express.
